Read all about it, below, then check out four more marquee targets for the Gunners by clicking the yellow arrow above! – Arsene Wenger has already confirmed he likes the all-action midfielder and a £28m fee has been mooted in the past. The Frenchman may have to sell before he can buy but it would represent a huge coup if they were to land the Chilean, although his recent car crash in his homeland while competing in the Copa America has blotted his copybook. 4. Isco (Real Madrid) – See which Premier League star could be Arsenal’s marquee signing on the next page… – The creative midfielder would provide Arsene Wenger with another classy operator in the middle of the park. Tomas Rosicky is now 34 years old, Santi Cazorla is 30, Mikel Arteta is 33, and Mathieu Flamini is 31, and so a changing of the guard at the Emirates is likely. Bringing Isco into the club would also prove the Gunners have serious ambitions to reclaim the Premier League title. 5. Petr Cech (Chelsea) – Landing the Blues shot-stopper will be a huge coup for the Gunners, potentially weakening their Premier League title rivals and signing a world class goalkeeper. His fee, which would be around £7m, might not be the biggest, but he would still be a massive signing for the Gunners. 5 5 5last_img read more
