Scott West said in a written statement.One of the incidents, a single vehicle collision involving a Super B tanker truck carrying molten sulphur, was reported on November 11 just before 4:00 p.m.- Advertisement -“The tanker left the road and rolled on to its side on a remote industrial road,” Sgt West goes on to write. “Both tanks were ruptured but the molten sulphur quickly solidified in the cold temperatures blocking the leaks.”Sgt. West adds, “The incident posed no dangers to public safety as industry arranged for air monitoring and environmental clean-up.”Just one day later, police responded to a head on collision in the 1200 block of 116 Avenue in Dawson Creek.Advertisement Sgt. West says upon investigation, police determined that one of the vehicles had crossed the centre of the road and hit another commuter.Both drivers were sent to the local hospital with what’s being described as “non-life threatening injuries.”last_img read more
