first_imgTEMPERATURES COULD REACH 27 degrees today, as a heatwave continues.Met Eireann is forecasting high temperatures today, but is warning that some areas will be hit with thundery showers.“This morning any mist or fog will soon lift but may linger in a few coastal areas. It will be dry and sunny for a time, but cloud will build up as heavy thundery showers with the risk of hail develop over the western half of the country in the afternoon and evening.“It will be very warm again with top temperatures reaching between 22 and 27 degrees and winds will be light variable or easterly.”Showers will die out tonight, but the west will see some fog.
